When we forget what we are fighting for.
Just when we sometimes feel that we can't fight anymore...or forget what we are fighting for, a great video reminds us. Take a look at the video of inspiring photos set to song (Susan Boyle, "Who I Was Born To Be"). While there are an awful lot of 'rainbow' pics, it's a symbol of our hope. The words are quite inspiring too.

Maine voters vote to take away civil rights.
Maine voters voted to take away civil rights yesterday by repealing the gay marriage bill lawmakers passed a few months ago. The hateful discriminatory groups that are on a lynch mob against the gays got their sheep to follow them and vote for hate.
When will people realize that THIS IS ILLEGAL? How can the US Government allow these votes to go on? A majority cannot vote for the rights of a minority. What's up with the US Constitution? Doesn't seem to be protecting every citizen. What a scary place this is turning into. Think about it. Why would people vote for something that doesn't impact them? Do you think that slavery would have been abolished if it were put up for vote back then?
President Obama....you need to help us. You know what is right. Repeal DOMA and put this to bed once and for all.
Obama speaks at the Human Rights Campaign Dinner, embraces gays.
Obama attempted to do some damage control this past weekend. The Gay & Lesbian Community has been very vocal with their worry that some of Obama's promises are going to be left on the side of the road. Sure, the United States is going though some bad times. Economy is on the mend, World Relations is trying to be improved...and there is the Healthcare Reform mess. Well, the Gay & Lesbian Community feels that Obama is not acting fast enough on his promises.
President Obama promised to end the Don't Ask, Don't Tell military policy...yet nothing has been done to get rid of it. He also expressed his disapproval of DOMA (Defensive Marriage Act). DOMA is what is standing in the way of a Nationally recognized Gay Marriage law.
On October's Equal Rights March, President Obama took time to address the Gay & Lesbian Community at the Human Rights Campaign Dinner. This is only the 2nd time in history that a President has spoken to a group that is marching on Washington. While the speech was powerful...some are still worried that the time line was not defined and will get pushed out. Obama says he is still against DOMA and the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, and will end them. He stops short of saying when.

Crazy Bible verse and laws. Leviticus 11:7-12
Here is another crazy Bible verse/law. Once again...the people that are hiding behind the Bible and religion to try and discriminate against the gay community...pick and chose what they want to live by. According the Leviticus 11:7-12, they better be watching their diets. The same 'book' you people are using is telling you this:
And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. [...] And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: [...] Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
What does it mean? It means that you CANNOT eat any of the following: Pork, lobster, shrimp...or ANY shellfish.
There are some religions that adhere to this rule..but we are not talking about the small percentage. We are talking about the large percentage that votes no on gay rights and hides behind the Bible. If they eat any of those meats...they will go to hell.
Kind of crazy, right? If you think so...why not follow that..but condemn gays?
Carrie Prejean’s ‘almost’ nude pics.
The sad part of all of the Carrie Prejean mess is that the Christian Conservative groups that are flocking to her side. Not only are these 'Christians' promoting hate...but they are making themselves look like idiots. Here is the first 'almost' nude picture of Carrie Prejean that was released soon after her hateful comment about discriminating against gays.
How innocent she looks gazing over her shoulder with no top on and those slutty panties. What a nice roll model for young people. I am saddened that these Christian groups attack the gay community but embrace the slutty, promiscuous appearance of Carrie Prejean in these pictures. There isn't anything wrong with the pictures...this is a free country. Here is something else to think about...Carrie....there are many countries where pictures like this are not allowed. Woman cannot vote...or even dress in normal clothes. Women used to be 'second class' citizens in our own country as well not too long ago (they couldn't vote, hold office, etc.). You are taking the Women's rights movement backwards by slamming gays. Sure...you can have your opinion. But to actively try to prevent a minority from equal rights is just wrong. You appear to be one slutty woman from these pictures. I predict you will be in porn in a year.

Carrie Prejean’s interview shows her (lack of) intelligence.
Every one's been saying it.... Carrie Prejean.....YOU'RE FIRED!
Carrie Prejean is another example of someone that will do ANYTHING for fame. She was blasted for her comment in the Miss Universe pageant's 'question' segment. When asked her views on Gay Marriage...she responded she was against it. (Idiot...who does your hair...your makeup...who runs the pageants??) After that...pictures surfaced of her that were against the Miss USA pageant rules. Mr. Donald Trump first said that she will keep her Miss California crown.
Fast forward a few months and now...she is fired. The reason for the firing is that she has not held up her contractual agreements. Missed appearances for Miss USA equals you are not doing your job Miss Prejean. She began using her title as part of her hate against gays. She missed appearances while speaking at churches and motivating people to be against civil rights.
All I can say is it's about time. She should have been fired after the first missed event. Prejan keeps saying she got in trouble for speaking her mind. Hello?!?!? You are showing support for discrimination against a minority group. What would have happen if she would have said she doesn't believe in interracial marriage? She would have been fired IMMEDIATLY!
Gay Marriage is a civil rights issue. It is illegal for a majority of the population to vote on the rights of a minority. All of the people that are against gay marriage need to understand that this is not about YOU. It's about US as gay Americans.
