Every one's been saying it.... Carrie Prejean.....YOU'RE FIRED!
Carrie Prejean is another example of someone that will do ANYTHING for fame. She was blasted for her comment in the Miss Universe pageant's 'question' segment. When asked her views on Gay Marriage...she responded she was against it. (Idiot...who does your hair...your makeup...who runs the pageants??) After that...pictures surfaced of her that were against the Miss USA pageant rules. Mr. Donald Trump first said that she will keep her Miss California crown.
Fast forward a few months and now...she is fired. The reason for the firing is that she has not held up her contractual agreements. Missed appearances for Miss USA equals you are not doing your job Miss Prejean. She began using her title as part of her hate against gays. She missed appearances while speaking at churches and motivating people to be against civil rights.
All I can say is it's about time. She should have been fired after the first missed event. Prejan keeps saying she got in trouble for speaking her mind. Hello?!?!? You are showing support for discrimination against a minority group. What would have happen if she would have said she doesn't believe in interracial marriage? She would have been fired IMMEDIATLY!
Gay Marriage is a civil rights issue. It is illegal for a majority of the population to vote on the rights of a minority. All of the people that are against gay marriage need to understand that this is not about YOU. It's about US as gay Americans.
Check out Carrie and how hateful she sounds in this interview. Carrie...move on. You give the white population a bad name. I personally like the 'head rolling' around the 1:19 mark.
Oh boy Sarah...say it ain't so! This woman is amazing. Not in a good way though. Recently, David Letterman made a joke about her daughter that was in poor taste. It happens. When your family (The Palins) are such a joke themselves...it's going to happen. The joke Letterman made involved one of Sarah Palin's daughters (he insists it's the 18 year old squeaky clean Bristol) and sex with an older man.
Of course the fame mongering Palin camp jumped all over this comment and is dragging it on and on and on and on. On an appearance on the Today Show this morning...she was firing back at Letterman in a way that we all know Palin for. Her comments invoked the spirit of the 'Conservative' base that she is trying to appeal to (like your unwed pregnant daughter was a good role model and Christian). She blamed Hollywood for allowing the exploitation of young girls and that Letterman's comment (and other like it) are the cause for low self-esteem in young girls. What?? Oh come on Sarah. She then went on to say that (this is paraphrasing) 'she would not want her daughter in the same room as Letterman'. When asked if she (Palin) thought that Letterman would make a sexual move on her daughter and if Letterman is attracted to young girls...she basically said 'take what you want from that statement'. What?? This is someone in our government?
What is troubling is that the recent LOSS in the election (yup...Sarah caused that one) last year...didn't seem to teach this hateful woman anything. She is using the same tactic she used for Obama when she tried to call him a terrorist. She's using it now to call Letterman a rapist of young girls. Listen to the interview below. She does sound smarter than she did a year ago...but it soon falls apart when Matt Lauer goes 'off script'. Sarah just needs to stick to her Alaska politics and stay out of the public. I'm amazed that this woman gets elected over and over. Then again...the US elected Bush how many times?
It's amazing on how some people just have no clue. One of the gayest events in the United States has some gay haters. On the question portion of the Miss USA Pageant on April 19th, 2009...Miss California was asked if gay marriage should be legalized. She basically thought for a few minutes (well...we can assume she was thinking) and basically said...It's great that we live in a country where you can be for same-sex marriage, or oppose it. My family and I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
Wow. It really amazes me on how dumb some of these pageant girls are. Look around you Miss California. About 75% of your audience is gay. Probably about 85% support your pageants...do your make-up...help dress you (Lord knows you probably can't do it yourself). However, you are correct. You have the right to be 'for' gay marriage...or 'oppose' it. That is a right protected by the US Constitution. Maybe it's good that you were so dumb that you actually voiced that opinion for all to hear. Maybe the judges decided not to give you the crown because of your ignorant comment.. Good luck on finding support in the gay community. We all know the straight community could care less about your title. The only people that support the pageants are the gays and those nutty pageant Moms.
I think it's time we all send a message to the Miss USA Pageant organizers and let them know how we feel about their decision last night. I also think that if you are in Miss California's circle of smoke and mirrors (lets face it...without makeup, hair and clothes...she isn't a prize)...find another pageant queen to work for immediately.
Another way to think about it...imagine if someone on the Board of Directors of Ford Motor went on TV and said, We should immediately look into mass transit only and outlaw automobiles. Dumb.
Pope Hitler Benedict XVI recently 'condemned the use of condoms' while on a trip to Africa. He is saying that Africa's answer to stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS is not by handing out condoms...that only makes the problem worse. What?? Pope Hitler Benedict preaches marital fidelity and abstinence. I don't understand how a man that's made a sacred vow to never have sex can educate the public on how to stay safe. His message is irresponsible and out-dated. It's proven that abstinence doesn't work and education is the only weapon we have. Pope Benedict was ELECTED by men...not GOD. He is not a doctor, nor a social therapist.
Pope Hitler Benedict recently reinstated a Holocaust-denying Bishop. What kind of message is the Pope sending? While we all have different views and opinions, this move is totally irresponsible as well. Pope Hitler Benedict is basically showing that he approves of this behavior, which might mean he also believes there was no Holocaust. Bishop Richard Williamson believes that only 200,000 Jews were killed by Hitler...not 6 million. What's up with that? It's almost like the Pope is looking to widen the gap between Catholics and Jews.
Pope Hitler Benedict is also broadening the use of "a Good Friday prayer calling for the conversion of Jews". This makes him no better than any extremist out there. Promoting hate in the form of prayer is just wrong. AS time goes on, I find it harder and harder to cling to my Catholic upbringing. These outdated views and hateful ways of thinking just don't move us forward. Let us pray that the God forgives the Pope for his hate.
Remember....most wars around the world begin with religion. Religion does not support change. Religion is a CHOICE, being gay is not!
Is everyone out there sick of all the negative Republican chatter out there now? I mean, can they be any more babyish? And when did Rush Limbaugh become an elected official for the party? They really want a drug user as the Republican spokesperson?
The new Republican stance is to say that the Democrats are taking advantage of the countries' situation (the economy) to further their agenda. What a bunch of hypocrites. That is exactly what the Republicans did after 9/11....and they are still doing today. The Democrats want to repair the economy and are trying to find ways to do so. Sure, they might be on the wrong track...but if they fail...they will be voted out. Why not band together and try to come up with a solution? Dems want to improve Healthcare, help the middle-class and poor, get us away from oil. Those are all bad? On what planet? Oh...the Christian extremist planet. Here is another case where greed and religion are mucking things up.
Another thing everyone should remember. Obama needs to be reminded that we need DOMA ended and gays need FEDERAL Civil Union or Marriage rights. This state-by-state thing is not working...nor is it right.
Well I knew it wouldn't be long. The 'Conservative' base is already bad mouthing Obama. On Saturday, Rush Limbaugh (the pill popping, hateful, hypocrite) told the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington that they need to 'take the country back'. He said that it's key to select the perfect 2012 candidate for the plan to work. Limbaugh also said "We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We believe that the preamble of the Constitution contains an inarguable truth, that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, freedom -- and the pursuit of happiness." What a scary group of people this is.
Take the country back? Didn't you guys mess is all up over the past eight years?? It's funny how everything is either Clinton's fault...or the new Democratic majority in the House and Senate. These Conservative freaks NEVER take responsibility. They are too busy reading scriptures and twisting the meaning to fit into their agenda. Limbaugh says that they believe in the Constitution. Right. I bet you do...only if it can be applied to the white, conservative, straight base. If you believe in the Constitution so much, and that everyone should have the right to life, liberty, freedom and the pursuit of happiness...then gays should be allowed to get married. We all know that the Conservative base does not want that. They are nothing but a bunch of white, angry, hateful people that want to take freedom away from us Americans.
Limbaugh also went on to say that he hopes Obama fails as President. Way to go Rush. Way to support your country you piece of trash. This Conservative base is actually kind of scary. It has the same types of characteristics as the hateful Nazi party. They are sounding more and more like them with each passing hour.
