Isn't it time for th GOP or Republican Party to take a look in the mirror for their failings? They just don't stop. The latest movement of the GOP is to try and get the Democratic Party re-named to "Socialist Democratic" Party. You have got to be kidding. They just don't understand that they LOST the general election and lost tons of seats in the Senate and House. You had your chance GOP...and you blew it. Thank your 2000-2008 administration for leaving a bitter taste in every one's mouth.
The GOP is so out of touch with the American population that it is trying everything it can. Didn't you already try the 'Socialist' card? I seem to recall your girl Palin harped on that one over and over. While the new administration isn't doing things to everyone liking...it is trying to correct the issues created by the previous GOP leaders.
As far as 'renaming' the party...why don't you rename your own. The GOP or Republican should be changed to the "Discriminatory Republican Party"...or "Christian Evangelical Republican Party"...or better yet...the "White, non-gay (unless you can get us elected or are in the closet) Republican Party".
It's time we all start looking for what's best for EVERYONE...not just a select few. The gay community is even suffering by the hands of the Obama Administration. Obama was in favor of gay marriage when he ran for his Senate seat. Now...it's only 'Civil Unions'. We need to press him on the issue. He's letting these GOP idiots force him to give up on certain movements to pass others. Some things never change in Washington.

Pope Hitler Benedict XVI recently 'condemned the use of condoms' while on a trip to Africa. He is saying that Africa's answer to stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS is not by handing out condoms...that only makes the problem worse. What?? Pope Hitler Benedict preaches marital fidelity and abstinence. I don't understand how a man that's made a sacred vow to never have sex can educate the public on how to stay safe. His message is irresponsible and out-dated. It's proven that abstinence doesn't work and education is the only weapon we have. Pope Benedict was ELECTED by men...not GOD. He is not a doctor, nor a social therapist.
Pope Hitler Benedict recently reinstated a Holocaust-denying Bishop. What kind of message is the Pope sending? While we all have different views and opinions, this move is totally irresponsible as well. Pope Hitler Benedict is basically showing that he approves of this behavior, which might mean he also believes there was no Holocaust. Bishop Richard Williamson believes that only 200,000 Jews were killed by Hitler...not 6 million. What's up with that? It's almost like the Pope is looking to widen the gap between Catholics and Jews.
Pope Hitler Benedict is also broadening the use of "a Good Friday prayer calling for the conversion of Jews". This makes him no better than any extremist out there. Promoting hate in the form of prayer is just wrong. AS time goes on, I find it harder and harder to cling to my Catholic upbringing. These outdated views and hateful ways of thinking just don't move us forward. Let us pray that the God forgives the Pope for his hate.
Remember....most wars around the world begin with religion. Religion does not support change. Religion is a CHOICE, being gay is not!

Is everyone out there sick of all the negative Republican chatter out there now? I mean, can they be any more babyish? And when did Rush Limbaugh become an elected official for the party? They really want a drug user as the Republican spokesperson?
The new Republican stance is to say that the Democrats are taking advantage of the countries' situation (the economy) to further their agenda. What a bunch of hypocrites. That is exactly what the Republicans did after 9/11....and they are still doing today. The Democrats want to repair the economy and are trying to find ways to do so. Sure, they might be on the wrong track...but if they fail...they will be voted out. Why not band together and try to come up with a solution? Dems want to improve Healthcare, help the middle-class and poor, get us away from oil. Those are all bad? On what planet? Oh...the Christian extremist planet. Here is another case where greed and religion are mucking things up.
Another thing everyone should remember. Obama needs to be reminded that we need DOMA ended and gays need FEDERAL Civil Union or Marriage rights. This state-by-state thing is not working...nor is it right.

Well I knew it wouldn't be long. The 'Conservative' base is already bad mouthing Obama. On Saturday, Rush Limbaugh (the pill popping, hateful, hypocrite) told the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington that they need to 'take the country back'. He said that it's key to select the perfect 2012 candidate for the plan to work. Limbaugh also said "We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We believe that the preamble of the Constitution contains an inarguable truth, that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, freedom -- and the pursuit of happiness." What a scary group of people this is.
Take the country back? Didn't you guys mess is all up over the past eight years?? It's funny how everything is either Clinton's fault...or the new Democratic majority in the House and Senate. These Conservative freaks NEVER take responsibility. They are too busy reading scriptures and twisting the meaning to fit into their agenda. Limbaugh says that they believe in the Constitution. Right. I bet you do...only if it can be applied to the white, conservative, straight base. If you believe in the Constitution so much, and that everyone should have the right to life, liberty, freedom and the pursuit of happiness...then gays should be allowed to get married. We all know that the Conservative base does not want that. They are nothing but a bunch of white, angry, hateful people that want to take freedom away from us Americans.
Limbaugh also went on to say that he hopes Obama fails as President. Way to go Rush. Way to support your country you piece of trash. This Conservative base is actually kind of scary. It has the same types of characteristics as the hateful Nazi party. They are sounding more and more like them with each passing hour.

Will someone please tell me when the trashy hockey-mom Sarah Palin is going away? Do we really want to see her uneducated daughter talk about her newborn child? Why did that interview even get on the news? Better yet...the new story about Palin says that she feels 'beaten up' from all of the scrutiny following the election. Palin is even complaining that everyone is watching what she is or isn't doing and analyzing what it could do to a 2012 presidential run. Does all of this whining really make for a good politician? Maybe a Governor...but not anyone in a high level national office. She's playing politics and trying to rile up her supporters.
Sure, Palin energized the old McCain camp a bit...but her closed mind and discriminatory views really didn't sit well with most of the US. Her inexperience was even a bigger obstacle. You can't blame the media for 'gotcha' sound bytes when you sit down and do a few hour interview. Everything that came out of her mouth was a joke. It's even a bigger joke to think she could EVER lead the US as President. It's actually scary to think about what would happen to us if by the off-shot chance she got elected. Her family is a joke (yeah, I said it) and that is the true picture of what kind of person she is.
Palin needs to go away and take a vacation. Stick to the Alaskan government and stay out of the national spotlight. Your family and state need you. After All, you can see Russia from your house.

It's being reported that the NYPD is cracking down on some porn shops...and it's not in the way you'd think. In certain areas, they want to shut the shops down, but can't unless they find a good reason. Porn is legal to sell in certain places in the city. When they can't find a reason, it's being reported that the NYPD is making them up. Not little 'white lies' either. They are arresting gay men for NO REASON!
Here is reportedly how it goes down-
Middle-aged man walks into porn shop. Middle-aged man is approached by good looking younger man. They talk. The young man flirts and the two then agree to 'get busy' and leave. Just as they are about to leave the shop...the younger man says "oh, I'll pay you for the sex". This confuses the middle aged man and when they step outside, plain-clothes NYPD are waiting to arrest the middle aged man for solicitation! Can you believe it? Not only is it entrapment...but it's an out right lie. They are taking advantage of middle aged men by using a much younger attractive man. Most of the men are well into their 40's and the young man is in his 20's. Now I've seen some street walkers and let me tell you...most are not over 30.
Most of the men arrested are so shocked and embarrased, they don't fight the charge and go for a quick trial. These false arrests are giving the NYPD ammunition to say that these porn shops are full of prostitutes. What a bunch of sneeky, slimy police. The big kicker is that some of the arrests go on in the gay parts of the city like Chelsea.
There are some that are trying to shed light on this issue and it seems to be working. So those of you visiting or living in NYC...be careful. Those of you that want to help...contact the NYC Gay Rights Group.
