Economy, Equal Rights, Gay Marriage

Just imagine if the gay community finally gets the right to get married. Think of what that would do to the economy.
First there would be a huge number of high-end uber-weddings. You know...all of the gays that never really thought they could get married and have kids would have all of the disposable income we hear about all of the time. You'd also see huge weddings of people that would kind of tell everyone "finally". Weddings are huge business and employ many people in the service sector of the economy.
After the joy of nationwide marriage equal rights sets in for a few five years or so...weddings may tapper off and be more along the lines of what we think of today. But there would be so many more taking the plunge as the younger generation goes for the union. They've grown up in a different time and many even think about getting married today.
Of course, there is the ugly side of marriage. Divorce. The heterosexual couple perfected and invented this process. I guess it's there way of 'protecting' the sanctity of marriage huh? I'm sorry to say...there would be the occasional gay couple lining up to get a divorce. That would pump more money into the economy...sure mostly the legal profession, but still...it's an economy driver.
I'm sure there are other things I've forgotten to mention. Chime in and leave a comment for your views.
